President’s directive to increase cooperation with Uzbekistan in the field of health

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has directed to promote bilateral cooperation with Uzbekistan including recognition of health, medical education and medical institutions and credentials in both countries

After the meeting with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan, an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Asim Hussain, the personal physician of the President of the State. He emphasized the need to further expand cooperation in medical education, scientific research and practical training of doctors.

Uzbek authorities also expressed interest in providing employment opportunities to Pakistani doctors and paramedical staff while reviewing their health department.
